Many of us are moving to teaching mixed ability classes in mathematics and statistics, or planning to do so in the next couple of years.

AMA recognises that changes like this can feel a little daunting, so we thought why not get a day away from the classroom and collaborate to get ourselves up and running.

This working group day is all about getting resources together to support teaching mixed ability classes. Giving mathematics departments the best chance of catering for the range of students in junior classes they will be meeting.

By the end of the day, you would be walking home with unit plans ready to use in your department, two of the unit plans you will have worked directly on, and you will also have access to unit plans created by other groups at the session. Win, win, win.

As you register you will be asked to choose potential topics you would most like to work on, and we will connect up the groups based on interest of the participants. We will make up groups and let you know so that you can bring your favourite paper and virtual activities.
