Algebra is an important part of the mathematics curriculum starting from curriculum level 1, however it often creates anxiety for learners.

NZAMT and the AMA are bringing a series of workshops to support teachers across New Zealand  help their students make sense of algebra.

The preliminary full day workshop will focus on years 6  to 10. In this workshop teachers will look at the  learning progressions and engage in practical activities which they can take back in the classroom.
